In order to help maintain the sled dog boxes, the roof of each house must be cleaned. This helps prevent the wood from rotting and creating leaks. The boxes are built for warmth and security so a leaky roof is bad news. While it may seem like a small thing, it's really an important part of maintaining the dog yard. I spent an entire afternoon cleaning the roofs of all of the dog boxes. I love cleaning and I love dogs so I had a delightful afternoon!
